Hello Heather. This article is a breath of fresh air for me as I have been working with a client with POCD. My gut has been telling me that I am on the right path, but my fear of misdiagnosis is always present. The client told his psychiatrist about his thoughts and was told he ought to be locked up, away from society. He approached a treatment team for help and was told they don’t treat pedophiles. He has severe OCD and is also worried he might be a rapist and a serial killer. Thank you so much for this article that provides so much grounding.
